The University of Latvia users have been provided trial access to the publishing house Harvard University Press digital libary Loeb Classical Library until May 7th of 2024.

The Loeb Classical Library is a collection that contains the full texts of Greek and Latin texts with parallel English translations, which was founded in 1911 by James Loeb. UL users can search for the texts they need in Greek, Latin, and English, browsing the entire database by author, language, period, form, genre, or subject. The Loeb Classical Library provides an opportunity to delve into the literary heritage of ancient Greek and Latin, including epic and lyric poetry, tragedies and comedies, satirical and novel works, as well as works by ancient writers on medicine and mathematics. The editors provide substantive introductions as well as essential critical and explanatory notes and selective bibliographies, and the series is continually revised and updated in light of modern scholarship.
