UL users are granted trial access to the generative artificial intelligence tool Web of Science Research Assistant until April 5, 2025.

Web of Science Research Assistant is a generative AI-powered tool that enhances and facilitates research in the bibliographic and citation information database Web of Science.

Searches and queries are done by using natural language processing and an option to choose a guided task – e.g., understanding a topic, literature review and find a journal – is provided as well. The search result is a concise overview highlighting the main findings and referenced documents for which further information can be retrieved. The results can be expanded to view top authors and article-level visualizations.

Access to Research Assistant is offered both on-campus and off-campus by entering the Web of Science.

During the trial Research Assistant will appear as an additional feature within the Web of Science database.
