Academic Video Online (AVON) is a multidisciplinary video platform by Alexander Street Press that provides access to almost 82 000 videos on various subjects, including social sciences, medicine, art, STEM, linguistics, psychology etc. Along with them more than 3,5 thousand textual materials are available as well, mostly on subjects mentioned previously.
Many types of video material are available: documentaries, interviews, performances, news programs, chronicles, commercials, original and unedited material, award-winning films as well as the most used films in education around the world.

You can search for videos by keyword or browse topics to find areas of interest.
How is content viewing delivered?
The platform offers such additional tools as video transcription, clip creation (cut a clip from a video, save and share it), pedagogical tools (discussion prompts, multiple choice and free-form questions, polling, etc.).
