Academic Video Online is a multidisciplinary video platform that supports a wide range of curriculum – from anthropology, art and literature to business, health sciences and biology. More than 80 000 video materials are available including documentaries, interviews, feature films, performances, news programs and newsreels, and demonstrations. Amongst them you will find award-winning films, including Academy®, Emmy®, and Peabody® winners.
The platform also provides such extra tools as video transcription, clip creating (create clips by cutting out the most relevant part of the video) and pedagogical tools (discussion prompts, multiple choice and free form questions, polling). More info here.
The Global Issues Library is an educational resource that covers important topics and events that are key to understanding the issues of today. The thematic collections span the period from the 1700s to the present and include global topics such as borders and migration, human rights violations, climate crisis, terrorism, revolutions and financial turbulence. Specific events explored include the U.S. and Mexico Border, the Rwandan Genocide, the Arab Spring, climate migrants in Asia Pacific, and Covid-19 and world economies.
Twentieth Century Religious Thought Library serves as an important resource for comparative religion, theology, world religion, religion and law, and religion and politics, as well as for courses and scholarship in social theory, feminist studies, philosophy, and world history.
