Repository of the Library
Repository of the Library opening hours: on working days 8:30–17:00.
The repository stores the historical collection of the Library and less used information resources. The following information resources are available in the repository: UL publications archive, dissertations developed by the UL, periodicals of previous years, fiction, audio and video materials. The repository contains gifts and special collections that were once donated or bequeathed to the Library by the UL professors and other representatives of the Latvian scientific elite. The repository also contains historical collections of institutions: ancient prints in Latvian, Russian, German, Latin, etc. languages, engravings, parchments. Approximately 1,000,000 copies are stored in the repository.
The Repository does not serve users, but any user may order information resources from the Repository to any branch library. The ordered expenses can be received every Thursday after 2 p.m. in any industry library specified by the customer.
